Eline Blaauboer

Managing Partner Africa Tech Ventures en TBL Mirror Fund

Eline Blaauboer has worked in the venture capital and private equity sector in both Europe and Africa for the last 18 years. She started her career at Gilde Investment Management, focused on investing in early stage IT companies in Europe, US and Israel. In 2006 she helped start and has been managing TBL Mirror Fund, which deployed over $25m in equity towards East African SMEs. Eline also managed Safaricom Spark Fund, a $1m pilot corporate venture fund.

Eline is co-founder and managing partner of Africa Tech Ventures, which is raising $50m to invest in scalable technology enable businesses in Africa, aiming to launch end 2017.

Eline sits on the board of various TBL and Safaricom Spark portfolio companies, like Cellulant, Sendy and Highlands Mineral Water. She furthermore co-founded and chairs the board of EAVCA and sits on the IC of FAFIN, an agribusinesses fund in Nigeria.

Eline holds a Master’s degree in business economics from the University of Groningen.
